Dolžina etape / Stage length: 12 km
Prehojeno / Covered: 105 km
Do cilja / To finish: 572 km
Tema pogovora bo uveljavljanje zakona o duševnem zdravju.
Ker bo postanek nekoliko daljši bo tudi spremljajoči kulturni program temu primerno bogatejši. Pripravili bomo okrogli mizi in koncert, ki bo potekal v prenovljenem Udarniku.

16:00 Okrogla miza na temo uveljavljanja Zakona duševnem zdravju
18:00 Odmor in pogostitev
18:30 Orientalski ples

Maribor is the last stage before the second longer stay, which will take place in this town for two days. From Dvorjane we will set out for Maribor, where we will visit University Medical Centre Maribor - Department of Psychiatry.
On their website (
http://www.ukc-mb.si/index.php?id=80) they have written as follows:
"On 5th October 2005 the Department of Psychiatry moved into new premises in the immediate vicinity of the hospital, Ob železnici 30 in Maribor.
Since 1946 the Department of Psychiatry had been under a common neuropsychiatric department, but after the provisional move to Pohorje Court in 1972 it has evolved as a separate unit.
Because of the distance from the parent institution, the department had all the infrastructure. They also had a handy laboratory, x-ray, sterilization, and surgery. After they abandoned biological treatment methods, the modern pharmacopsychotherapy got on and they introduced the modern principles of occupational or work therapy and other rehabilitation programs. Special attention was devoted to the treatment of addicts, primarily alcohol addicts. Inappropriate facilities prevent the introduction of a daily hospital. The new organization of work within the department in unit of geriatrics, two units of intensive psychiatry and of intermediate psychiatric treatment and with conceived plans, employees acceleratedly preparing to move to new premises, which are rising near the hospital. By the introduction of telephone counseling and other forms of successful integration into the community they succesfully detabuise psychiatry as an interdisciplinary scienca.
The Department of Psychiatry has 216 beds, 150 functionally used. They treat 1.400 patients every year, 77 percent of beds are occupied and the average length of stay is 35.5 days."
As the stay will be a little longer, the supporting cultural programme will be correspondingly richer. Thus, the project will prepare the round table and a concert, which will take place in a renovated cinema Udarnik.
